NCARC Club Meeting Minutes for October, 2012

October 20, 2012
The meeting was held at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Loveland.  It was called to order at 9:00 by President Willie W5WIW.  There were 32 members, and 1 guest. For roll call, Willie asked for the members to tell when they got their licenses.
The Secretary’s Report: There were no minutes for the last meeting because that was when we had the picnic.  Those who came to the picnic seemed to have a lot of fun.  Some of the club members brought some radios and “toys.”  Those who did not come missed the fun, and maybe we can do it again.
The secretary read the notes from the Executive Board, and they were approved as read.
Treasurer’s Report: As of the first of October, our beginning balance was $10,905.76, with expenses for the Picnic, Phone bill, and equipment maintenance of $124.46, ending with a balance of $10.931.66.  There were no new members, no renewals, and a total of 148 active members.  The treasurer’s report was approved as read.
Technical Committee: John sent in his report by email, since he would not be present at the meeting.  He has been working on the repeaters, trying different things to make them work better.  Discussion was had about moving the Horsetooth repeater to a nearby location to see if it would help the noise.
PAO Officer: Bob Schmid report he was behind, but will try to get caught up soon.
Willie thanked the people who worked the special events this last month.
Old Business: We still need pictures of the officers for the web page.
We mentioned that the people who want to be control officers and tech committee members should all be members of the club.
David Johnston talked about the Wednesday evening Club Net at 7:00 PM.  Said it was not a formal net like the ARES net, but more like a get-together and visit.
There was no program for this meeting, but there will be next month.
Meeting was adjourned at 10:00 AM.
