NCARC Club Picnic

Come join us for a great picnic at Mike's, KF4DUS place behind Horsetooth Mountain Park!  We are going to have a fun time with our favorite people (other hams and friends).

The 2011 Club Picnic is scheduled for August 27, 2011.  Mike Hughey, KF4DUS is hosting the Picnic at his place--2612 W County Road 38E, Loveland Colorado.  Things will start at 10:00 am and run thru the rest of the day.

Mike will be furnishing the charcoal, ice, and lots of parking at the picnic site near the front of property.  The club will be providing hamburgers, brats, chips, soda, and utensils.  The attendees can furnish any other items they might find useful. There will be a donation can for those that would like to help defray the club's costs ($5 per family/group is suggested.)  NO ALCOHOL WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE PICNIC.

Mike has a nice outdoor 2.4 acre shooting range located at the back of the property safely away from the other activities .  Anyone wanting to use these facilities will need to bring their own ammo and targets.  Safe handling of any weapons brought to the picnic is a must.

From Fort Collin--Starting from the corner of Taft Hill Road and Harmony (JJ's gas station is on the NW part of the corner), proceed west on W County Road 38E (the westerly extension of Harmony Road) for 6.6 miles.  West CR 38E goes around the south end of Horsetooth Reservoir, past the Horsetooth Fire Station, the Canyon Grill, past Horsetooth Mountain Park where you will see 2 mailboxes on the right.  Turn in (to the right) at the huge 3 door steel garage.  There will be neon green signs for us at the driveway.

From Loveland--Take Hwy US 34 west out of town to County Road 27 (the Masonville turn off at the Big Thompson School).  Turn right and go north to the Masonville Mercantile (the junction of CR 27 and W CR 38E).  Turn right and go east approximately 3 miles to where the speed limit drops to 35 mph.  On the left you will se Mike's neighbor's horse stable. You can turn in to the left at the first gate (marked by a tree with the address 6712 in the barkless part of the trunk above the mailbox or you may proceed to the second drive which is marked by the huge 3 door steel garage.  Both driveways will have neon green signs marking the way for us.
